So maybe I will stick around...
Well, today was interesting, I had to be at work at 9:00am this morning, that all went well enough. I won't bore you with those details...
The cool stuff is that I came home and was able to install Adobe Creative Suite 3: Design Premium on my computer completely legally. I've discovered the beauty of student licensed software, and I think I'm addicted. I've already spent almost a months worth of my slave wages on the stuff. Still to come in the mail are Lightroom and Quark.
So, after I had been playing around with the Adobe apps for a while, I decided to check out DevArt. And to my pleasant suprise I found a note from buchvecny thanking me for my feature of Heile's "redress" and saying, "Im glad to say this has been the best DD of many months."
Needless to say I was flattered in more ways than one.
This is hardly the first time I have submitted a DD suggestion, but it is the first time I have seen results.
The other DD's for the day: today.deviantart.com/dds/?day=…
And in other news, I made my first submission in quite a long time. It will be for the "Against the Light" contest and is titled "Sunray".

Another year has passed.
It seems that nearly another year has passed (yeah, probably not that long) since I have really done anything on here. So again I will make another journal entry promising amazing works to be posted on here.
Honestly, it probably won't be that much. I am still without a [working] scanner, so neither my darkroom prints nor my paintings will probably make it on here unless I get around to doing them at work. I suppose I might give a try at photographing some of them with my digital camera.
Speaking of work, I plan to postpone telling them that I am out of school so my schedule of weekends will stay the same. In this time off I hope to do a lo
It's been a while...
Well, I have not really been active on here in a while. I've mostly been busy with school, work, and all that other stuff that you have to do in the real world. However, this isn't to say that my art has been forgotten. Actually, it seems that I have been working on it more than ever. In school I am taking a black and white photography class. This has been really cool for me since before this I never actually knew the process of developing and printing. I am also taking an Art History class which is pretty intense. And I am also taking a welding class. The welding class will be a second for me, since I have already taken the pre-req for this
Reggae
Well, lucky me.
This past weekend was the 23rd annual Reggae on the River http://reggaeontheriver.com/ in Humboldt County, California. Just a preface, Reggae on the River is a grand event of peace, music, drugs, and hippies. It happens every year, and it is about an hour or so from where I live.
Now, orignally I was planning on getting in by volunteering and earning some volunteer passes to the event. There was a lot of volunteer work to be done this year, since the event was moved south about half of a mile to Dimmick Ranch. Therefore, all of the plumbing, electrical, stage, and camping areas had to be re-evaluated and constructed. Lots of
New Computer
Well, I just upgraded my computer It is pretty much awesome now.
I went with all new stuff, a new AMD AM2 3800+ with dual cores, Asus motherboard, a gig of ram. Yes yes.
The only thing I kept from my old computer was my slot loading DVD drive and the hard drives. I ran into some troubles while doing the install, but those mostly seemed to be resolved now.
There was a period in which I spent about an hour crying, because my music backup file had been corrupted. WTF are backups for anyway? That was a pretty lame day. Luckily though, my iPod contained all of my data. Unfortunately, my iPod sucks butt, and at times the files can become corrupt
